Not long ago I played Sopwell House in Hertfordshire . This is not the first time I have played the venue. I have put together a review from my perspective of the facilities at Sopwell House and the services I can provide for this wedding venue.
Disco Setup at Sopwell House in St Albans
Location- St Albans, Hertfordshire
Travel Time – 25 minutes travel time.
Setup time – 1hr.
Space for full setup? – Yes enough room for Disco service level 3
Smoke Machine – No, not permitted due to fire alarms
Bubble Machine – Yes
Hotel Lighting – On dimmer switches can be controlled
Room turn around time from dinner to Disco – I was able to setup behind closed doors which were opened after the dinner.
Noise / Sound Limiter – No
Layout – Bar in adjacent room as Disco, Tables around edge of dance floor,
Staff – Happy and Helpful.
The party went well at this venue, the disco does not need to be setup early if behind closed doors as this party was. Otherwise I would suggest the early setup option. This would add an extra charge to the guideline prices. The main rooms at this venue can be sectioned. I have done party’s in smaller sections which has worked for less people.
The venue has nice gardens immediately outside the main function rooms.
