Feedback from Wedding at the Sculpture Gallery in Woburn

Friday, October 31st, 2014

It is always nice to receive feedback from my clients. I have just had this email through regarding the wedding I did in August. As I thought at the time the evening was a success and the new layout really worked as I thought it would. See pictures of the gig here http://www.acsupreme.co.uk/blog/venues-and-function-rooms/wedding-at-woburn-sculpture-gallery/

Dear Adam

Katie and I wanted to email you to offer our sincerest thanks for the wonderful job you did for us on our wedding day. Everything went perfectly and we had the most wonderful evening, and the party was even more fun with your contribution. We thought you were incredibly professional and helpful. Thank you also for giving us everything we asked for in terms of favourite songs and Irish/country music for our family to enjoy!

Please do not hesitate to let us know if there is anything we can for you in terms of reviews etc., and needless to say we will not hesitate to recommend you to any of our friends or family getting married.

All the best and thank you once again.

 Ciaran & Katie

Wedding at Woburn Sculpture Gallery

Monday, August 11th, 2014

Woburn Sculpture GalleryAt the weekend I was back doing a wedding disco at Woburn Sculpture Gallery. I have done many discos there now but this one was different. They decided to add an additional dance floor at the temple end of the room and allow the band and myself as the DJ to play down the room rather than across it. I have been wanting to do this for years at the Sculpture Gallery so was excited to try it out.

Every party is different and what works for one set of guests one night can completely flop the next night so it is hard to judge the difference in the layout. However I definitely feel the night was a hit and more people danced than would have with the normal setup position. As the music was playing at the tables it felt like the whole room was more involved in the function. It also meant the lighting could remain bright at one end for the evening buffet and darker on the dance floor without and cross over. The laser light also went all the way down the room which looked really good compared to the short distance it would usually travel across the room. It also eliminated the “dead space” usually with the DJ in the middle of the room the whole temple end is wasted space and serves no purpose.

Woburn Sculpture GalleryOver all I think this change was a success and I would recommend it where possible. Although I had setup early in the day as is usual for this venue I believe you could setup later in the day if using this layout as the disturbance at the far end is minimal whilst guests are eating etc. Therefore if you did want to use the space after hosting the actual wedding in this space I believe you could with minimal disruption.

DJ at Woburn Sculpture Gallery

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2012

I am all setup and ready to DJ at the Sculpture Gallery in Woburn, Bedfordshire. I have the pleasure of being the sole entertainment provider tonight and hope to have the dance floor buzzing. Mid week weddings can often be a little difficult as not everyone has the next day off work and people start to slope off early. However I think a few choice tunes should keep the atmosphere high and the thought of leaving the wedding disco early will be a distant memory!

DJ’ing at Woburn Sculpture Gallery

Monday, June 28th, 2010

Once again I was providing Disco and DJ services at the Sculpture Gallery at Woburn. They had a band performing also at the wedding so I had the light show on the dance floor and tucked myself around the corner to make room for the band. Worth bearing in mind if you are thinking of having a band and disco at this venue. The band did overrun slightly but this gave me a chance to feed the carp in the lake outside, some lovely fish in there wish I’d bought a rod!

The Sculpture Gallery in Woburn, Bedfordshire

I recently provided disco services for a wedding at The Sculture Gallery in Woburn, Bedfordshire. I have put together a review from my DJ perspective of the facilities and the disco services I can provide for this wedding venue.

Location– Woburn in Bedfordshire, nice gardens!

Woburn Sulpture Gallery in Bedfordshire, Wedding Hall

Travel Time –  30 minutes travel time.
Setup time – 1hr 30 minutes. Quite a distance between loading and the dance floor
Setup – Must be earlier in the day, dictated by the venue organisers
Space for full setup? – Yes enough room for Disco service level 3
Smoke Machine – Yes allowed
Bubble Machine – Yes
Venue Lighting – On dimmer switches can be controlled
Room turn around time from dinner to Disco – Not an issue due to early setup requirements and no tables positioned on the dance floor.
Noise / Sound Limiter – No
Layout – Bar in a different room to the disco, Tables around edge of dance floor. The disco in in the middle of the room. Makes it a little awkward for people crossing the dance floor. Leaves the tables out of the direct sound of the disco.
Staff – Helpfull.

I have played this venue many times, as a guide the cost would be £400 – £500 depending on the evening playing time.
