Christmas Party in Wellingborough

Are you looking for somewhere to host your Christmas Party night! Based in Wellingborough, The Castle has been running xmas party’s for a number of years and always prove to be a great night out for your office or just with friends. Tables can be booked from as little as 2 people to 70!

Tickets are £29.50 per head and include a 3 course Christmas meal plus coffee and the bar is extended until 11:30pm with the party closing a midnight.

I will be providing disco services for the venue and we will rock out to all your favourite Christmas songs as well as a good mix of music for all ages to get the party jumping with everyone in the festive mood!

Wedding Disco – Horwood House, Milton Keynes

I recently provided a wedding disco at Horwood House just outside Milton Keynes. The venue is a modern style hotel attached to an old country house.

Location- Milton Keynes, Horwood House
Travel Time –  35 minutes travel time.
Setup time – 1hr 15mins. This is a longer setup than normal due to the location of the halls and the distance to carry equipment.
Space for full setup? – Yes,
Smoke Machine – No
Bubble Machine – Yes
Lighting – On dimmer switches, although not all of it could be controlled. Since the refurbishment certain lights I was told had to be left on. These were right by the dancefloor and in my opinion contributed to a lack of atmosphere on the dancefloor. The party was good but with the lights dimmed could have been better. I did ask a number of staff several times if they could be turned off but no joy. Very odd setup!
Noise / Sound Limiter – No
Layout – Bar in same room as Disco, Tables around edge of dance floor
Staff – Organised and Helpfull except for the lighting. Also the power didn’t work in any of the sockets near where I setup. I had to run a long cable half way around the room to a different set of sockets. Fortunately this is something I carry with me.

Disco at Buckinghamshire Golf Club for the Denham Ball

I recently provided disco service at The Buckinghamshire Golf Club. This is a superb facility for parties, especially Birthdays, Weddings and in this case a summer ball. I have put together a review from my perspective of the facilities at the Buckinghamshire Golf Club and the services I can provide for this venue.

Location- Nr Denham, Buckinghamshire
Travel Time –  45 minutes travel time.
Setup time – 1hr.
Space for full setup? – Yes,
Smoke Machine – No
Bubble Machine – Yes
Lighting – On dimmer switches can be controlled fully
Noise / Sound Limiter – No
Layout – Bar in a different room to the Disco, although I was in a smaller suite “The Heron” it may be different upstairs.
Staff – Organised and Helpfull.
Really pleasent venue, lovely atmosphere and drive in through the golf course.

Wedding Disco at Moor Park Mansion, Hertfordshire

Recently I provided a wedding disco at this superb facility for Weddings. I have put together a review from my perspective of the facilities at the Moor Park Mansion and the services I can provide for this venue.

Layout – Bar in different room to the disco. Sofa’s around the dance floor
Staff – Organised and Helpfull.
Really nice venue, it also had facility for a balloon drop from above onto the dance floor which was fun!

Updates and disco reviews

Hi,

Things have been a bit hectic recently as we are well into wedding disco season, although I would say that is almost all year around now!

Anyway I have updated some reviews I have had on http://www.acsupreme.co.uk/Disco_Feedback.htm

I have been out and about a fair bit, some familiar venues and some new which is nice. I played Moor Park Mansion house which was a nice venue and from what I could see a very well organised wedding. I’ll pop a review on after this. I also played Horwood House which I have played before many years ago but I was in a different room this time. Also I provided a disco at the Buckinghamshire Golf Club for the Denham Ball, which looked like a lovely golf course, wish I’d have had time to play. The venue itself is a lovely setting I will post a full review. Another golf club I provided disco services for was Abbey Hill in Milton Keynes. The BBQ was huge and the choice of food really good.

Right I’ll crack on with the reviews of the venues to help anyone picking a venue in the coming months.

Wedding at Dodmooor House, Northamptonshire, Nr Daventry

I recently played Dodmoor House in Northamptonshire. This is a superb facility for weddings, or corporate events. It is 2 converted barns which you can hold a wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast with access to the patio for summer drinks and BBQ’s. I have put together a review from my perspective of the facilities at Dodmoor House and the services I can provide for this venue.

Location- Dodmoor House, Weedon, Nr Daventy, Northamptonshire
Travel Time –  60 minutes travel time.
Setup time – 1hr.
Space for full setup? – Yes,
Smoke Machine – No
Bubble Machine – Yes
Lighting – On dimmer switches can be controlled fully
Room turn around time from dinner to Disco –45mins
Noise / Sound Limiter – Yes but set loud enough
Layout – Bar in next door room to Disco, but within ear shot
Staff – Organised and Helpfull. Very good at talking to me prior to the gig on the clients behalf and making sure any paperwork and timings are 100% accurate.
Really nice well organised wedding venue!

Disco and Wedding Venues Update!

Hi all,

Not been able to blog for a while as things have gone manic! Most of the venues I have played recently I think I have reviewed, will catch up with some missing reviews when I can. I’ve been out and about at Ware, Fanmhams Hall, Hanbury Manor the Marriott Hotel on the A10. Also been over to Tring and provided a full wedding disco at Pendley Manor Hotel which was an excellent venue (even though it was upstairs). The usual spot over at Tewin Bury Farm although one of the smaller barns this time. Also been back to Spains Hall in Finchingfield Essex, lovely venue and good sound system. Oh DJ’d at Coltsfoot Country Retreat too, thanks for the Lamb shank meal, lovely!

Will review Pendley Manor and Dodmoor House in Northamptonshire shortley.
